Gobi, PY - 2009/10/28 Y2 - 2025/10/14 TI - Measurement of Natural Radioactivity in Porcelain Stoneware Tiles JF - Recent Research in Science and Technology JA - RRST VL - 1 IS - 1 SE - Articles DO - UR - https://www.updatepublishing.com/journal/index.php/rrst/article/view/292 SP - AB - <p class="RaviBook" style="margin: 6pt 0in; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-size: 9pt; font-family: ";Times New Roman";,";serif";; mso-bidi-font-size: 12.0pt;">This paper presents the results of the measurement of natural radio activity present in the Porcelain stoneware tiles samples collected from the ceramic firms of Government Ceramic institute, Virudhachalam.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>Natural radioactivity in the porcelain stoneware tiles samples in mainly due to ²²⁶Ra, ²³²Th and ⁴⁰K and their daughter products.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>In this study, these measurements have been estimated in Gamma-ray spectrometry and their levels for six samples are compared and also the Radium equivalent concentration (Ra_eq) is calculated. The gamma index is calculated and compared well with the reported values.</span></p> ER -
