In the present study, we have investigated the chemopreventive effects of anthocyanin extracted from Musa acuminata bract against human breast cancer cell line (MCF-7). Acidified methanolic extracts from Musa acuminata bract has shown 12.24% inhibition at 1000µg/ml concentration against MCF-7 cell line. Results indicated that anthocyanin from Musa acuminata bract extracts had strong antiproliferative activity against MCF-7 cell lines at varying concentration.
